Cursos de extensão oferecidos pelo Banco Mundial (Gratuitos e à distância)

WORLD BANK HOME LINK

O conteúdo é extenso e específico e as atividades avaliativas e fóruns demandam tempo e dedicação.

Eu estou terminando agora o curso Introduction to Disaster Risk Management e iniciando o Sustainable Land Use Planning.

Sustainable Agricultural Land Management Projects: Soil Carbon Monitoring

March 24, 2014 - April 11, 2014
In the agriculture sector, until recently, much attention has been given to the adaptation of climate change, little to its climate change mitigation or carbon sequestration potentials.

PLANNING, FINANCE AND GOVERNANCE
Sustainable Urban Land Use Planning
April 02, 2014 - May 20, 2014
This course provides participants with a functional and integrated understanding of the dynamics of urban land use and demonstrates how to effectively utilize policies and planning instruments to manage urban growth and achieve sustainable, equitable and efficient development outcomes.

LOW CARBON, RESILIENT DEVELOPMENT
Emissions Trading Systems: Using Markets to Promote Low Emissions Development
April 14, 2014 - May 02, 2014
Emissions Trading Systems (ETS) are a key economic instrument for ratcheting down greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and spurring innovation and investment in low-carbon energy technologies. ETS, also called cap-and-trade schemes, are conceptually simple but practically complex. This course will guide you through the theory, practice, and available global experience important to the design, implementation, and governance of a well-functioning Emissions Trading System.

PUBLIC SAFETY AND RESILIENCY
Safe and Resilient Cities
April 23, 2014 - May 21, 2014
The course will expose city officials and practitioners to cutting edge tools on vulnerability assessment, policy and programs stock tacking and gaps analysis, and finance access. The discussion will also focus on decision making under uncertainty to identifying options and establishing priorities to make the city more resilient to climate change impacts and natural disasters.

LOW CARBON, RESILIENT DEVELOPMENT
Low Carbon Development: Planning & ModellingApril 29, 2014 - May 16, 2014
This course has four modules - (i) Overview for Policymakers; (ii) Power; (iii) Household; (iv) Transport - which introduce you to climate change mitigation, explore the concepts surrounding low carbon development planning on an economy-wide basis and take a detailed look at what this means in the power and transport sectors and for household electricity use.

ESSENTIALS OF CLIMATE CHANGE

Energy Sector Strategies to Support Green Growth
May 05, 2014 - May 25, 2014
This course covers essential aspects of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Policies and how they can contribute to Green Growth Strategies.

LOW CARBON, RESILIENT DEVELOPMENT
Policy Instruments for Low Emissions Development: From Design to Implementation
June 02, 2014 - June 20, 2014
Transitioning to a lower emissions development path is becoming increasingly important as climate change poses major challenges to development. This course is designed to help policymakers to apply the various policy instruments available to reduce GHG emissions while also achieving economic development goals. In this course, you will learn how to plan, design and implement voluntary and information-based, regulatory and market-based instruments that will help your country to transition towards a low emissions development path.

CLIMATE-SMART AGRICULTURE - TOWARDS LANDSCAPE APPROACH
